So there I was, in the shower scrubbing the stink of chronic anxiety and toddler pee off of me (long story, but my daughter is having potty training issues) when my husband opened the bathroom door.
"Hey! No pooping while I'm showering! The honeymoon's not that long over!"
He assured me he wasn't there to use the toilet and I poked my head out. He was holding up his phone with my Go Fund Me on it. The funding meter was full... $900 of $900. Someone just donated the last $130 to put me at my goal.
So what's next?
Finish the rewrite. It's coming along really well so far. Get it to the technical editor. Get all the 'I's dotted and 'T's crossed and commas Oxforded. Get it to the cover artist and formatter. Get it published.
Oh gee, is that all?
Piece of cake.
Seriously though, thank you to everyone who donated, spread the word, or even gave me a passing thought. It's humbling to know that I have so many people willing to help me out. I promise I will keep working hard and when I'm done I hope the book I present to you will be worth your donation and effort.
To celebrate, I've decided to open up a sample of Paige's Story. You can read it here . It's not much, but I hope you enjoy it.
